If you want to go with enamels, Humbrol is a bit better at the task. The finer grain of the pigments aids in the flow in the crevices or around detail. The base you are working should be as smooth as possible too.

Webb11 juni 2024 · Once dry I thinned Model Wash 3 parts water to 1 part wash and commenced applying a pin wash in areas no larger than 1 inch by 1 inch with a fine brush, always keeping another brush at the ready to mop up any excess and tide marks. It dries very fast, the reason why you work in small areas, and it is not as tedious as it sounds.

It works better over a gloss coat like Future (acrylic floor polish) This can be brushed on and drys flat & smooth. #2 ALWAYS practice on scrap model / plastic.
